B.J. Kadrmas, Inc. is on the search for skilled Title Agents to join our team in North Dakota. This role offers the chance to delve deep into the title research process, providing invaluable support through onsite and online research, creation of Limited Title Certificates, Memorandum of Title, and the preparation of Marketable Title Reports. With a commitment to excellence and precision, we invite professionals with over 5 years of title experience to take their career to new heights in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform onsite and/or online research necessary for Marketable Title report production.
• Examine documentation (plats books, deeds, leases, easements, mortgages, agreements, contracts, subdivision maps, etc.) online and within county Recorder’s Offices to determine ownership and verify legal descriptions.
• Research judgments and liens.
• Research tax records.
• Prepare Memorandum of Title and Limited Title Certificates
• Prepare Runsheets.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proficient with North Dakota Recorder’s Information Network (NDRIN), I-Doc., and McKenzie County Virtual Vault.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to learn new computer programs quickly.
• Proficient math skills (ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages).
• Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to write legibly and/or type title notes.
• Must have interpersonal skills to work within a team and be self-directed.
• Familiar with and have an understanding of the North Dakota Title Standards.

Qualifications:

• At least 5+ years of experience in title research or a related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Willingness to travel and work onsite in North Dakota as required, with Per Diem available.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive contracted day rate, negotiable based on experience.
• Negotiable Per Diem rates for onsite work.

Travel Requirements:

• Openness to travel within North Dakota, with varying travel frequency depending on project requirements.
